Saying goodbye...

| 15 Comments

Jake stopped responding to his medications. Last night he didn't want to walk; his back legs which were fine up until now were starting to go. They say your pet will tell you when they are ready to go. I never fully believed it until today... this morning when Jake told me in no uncertain terms that he was ready to move on.

Thanks to all of you for your caring, concern and love. And light a candle for Jake... he is now free from pain and running on all four legs again at the Rainbow Bridge.

Sorry to hear about Jake. :(

*hugs* I was very sad to read about Jake this morning, but then I smiled as I imagined him running across the Rainbow Bridge(and probably chasing a few pets I've had the privilege to know ^_~)

Kathi,

I am so sorry. I had my cat get really sick last year (kidney stones-twice in one month) and I knew then that a bond with a pet can be much stronger than some bonds with humans. I'm sorry for all the pain you are in. *HUGS*

*hughughughug* I'm so sorry :(

Kathi, I cannot even begin to imagine the depth of your loss. :( You and your family our in my thoughts and prayers, you have my deepest sympathies. I don't know what to say except to tell you that I am so very sorry for your loss. May the thought that Jake is no longer suffering cut through your grief to bring you a quiet sense of peace. (((massive hugs))) We're all here for you!!

One of my cats that I got when I was 17 let me know when it was his time. He was going into kidney failure at age 14 and without going into a whole long story, I knew he was ready to go. It doesn't really make it any easier though. Damn hormones. I'm tearing up. :P {{hugs}}

I'm so sorry to hear that it was his time to go. :(
